This brass plated steel pipe can be used for crafting a custom lamp or for repairing an existing lamp. It measures 8 inches long and has a 1/2 inch top thread and a 3/4 inch bottom thread. The pipe measures 3/8 inch O.D. and the thread is designated 1/8 IP which is a standard designation for lamp pipe. The threads will fit into the bottom of most regular lamp sockets and will also fit cross bars, etc. having a 1/8 IP female thread.
